Humantay Lake 1 Day

The Humantay Lake tour is a beautiful one-day hike where you can visit the turquoise blue Humantay Lake, part of the Vilcabamba mountain range. You will also be close to the mountains of Salkantay and Humantay. You will be able to enjoy the energy of these sacred Apus and the spectacular views of the Peruvian Andes.

Itinerary

TOURS TO HUMANTAY LAKE

The journey begins in the city of Cusco at approximately 4:10 in the morning (we pick you up from your accommodation). After two and a half hours by car, we will arrive at the town of Mollepata, where we will have breakfast. The trip continues for about 45 minutes until we reach Soraypampa (3,970 meters), a place used as a camping area. From here, the hike begins and takes about an hour and a half to reach the beautiful Humantay Lake.

You will undoubtedly be impressed by the turquoise color of Humantay Lake, located at an altitude of (4,200 meters). Although you may be a bit out of breath, you will be very happy to be in this beautiful and impressive place. You can also see two large mountains, Humantay and Salkantay, which were considered sacred by the Incas.

After enjoying the tranquility and beautiful landscapes of the area, we will begin the return to Soraypampa, which will take approximately an hour and a half on foot. Then, we will head back to the town of Mollepata for lunch. On the way back to our final destination, we can enjoy more beautiful landscapes and a stunning sunset. Finally, tired but happy, we will arrive in the city of Cusco at approximately 6:00 pm.
